We are thrilled you want to volunteer with us. Our volunteers are the backbone of our rescue. We can't wait to introduce you to our organization and the team that makes it all happen. Learn our foster and adoption processes (no quizzes...we promise), and read the stories of the animals whose lives have been changed through Scroungy Dogs and Pretty Pups Rescue. Our pups can really benefit from the exercise and socialization that comes from getting out and walking. Take one of them for a walk, hike, or out to an event! They might even find that right person and forever home.
Help our animals by vetting applications and finding the purrr-fect match. We are a 100% volunteer organization, and can always use help making sure that we can respond to applicants as timely as possible.
While most of our animals come from high-kill shelters in Texas, we work with transport organizations who bring them to the Denver metro area. We typically get transports on Wednesday and Saturday, and need volunteers to help bring these animals on the last leg of their journey to meet their foster families in NoCo.
The best opportunity for our pups to find their forever home is in person events! Not only does it get them visibility, it helps with socialization. We always need people who can help plan and run adoption events.
There are so many grants out there for funding that can support our mission! As a 100% volunteer based rescue, we can always use the help.
