Meet DENNIS! This adorable guy is such a sweet boy. He has such a big personality, though he might seem shy at first. Once he warms up, he is extremely playful and sweeter than you could ever imagine! He is not a huge fan of cat toys, but will make toys out of other things, such as hair ties, throw pillows or chapstick. When Dennis isn't busy finding his next new toy, he loves to cuddle with you on the couch and enjoys a good petting! Dennis was briefly introduced to some dogs upon arrival, and we got the impression that he is comfortable with dogs, though his current foster does not have a dog.
Please do not overlook Dennis because he is FiV positive.
FIV cats can enjoy a happy life and can make wonderful companions. Though FiV is not easily transmissible, to prevent the disease from spreading, an FIV cat should be the only cat in the household, or live with other FiV positive cats!
Adopting an FIV positive cat can be really rewarding. Although nobody can predict the future, many FIV cats can potentially live long, healthy and full lives, just like a non-infected cat. They also have all the usual needs of any cat, such as a nutritious diet, mental stimulation and plenty of love!
