This is BASIL! Basil is a very handsome boy with the softest coat. He is timid upon meeting new people but it’s really because he saves all his love for his person. Once he settles into your home and gets to know you he will follow you around the house and supervise all you do and seek your lap out once you are sitting. He loves to sleep next to you gently purring away. He is going to need a person willing to give him a little time to get comfortable, but he is going to make some lucky person very happy. He is just a sweetheart who loves affection once he gets to know you!
He loves other cats and does well with the calm gentle dogs in his foster home.
While Basil is living with a 4 yr old in his foster home; her excitement and fast movements are sometimes too much for him and he will retreat to a quiet place, so older children who have the patience to allow him the time to warm up to them may be best.
Basil may never be the life of the party or earn the nickname of Mr. Social, but he will deeply bond to whoever gives him the time he needs to open up and become a great companion.
