HARLEY IS BEING FOSTERED IN DENVER.

Meet Harley, an 18-month-old beautiful, sweet and friendly female Labrador mix. Harley is an energetic girl who would love a very playful sibling or a very active family who will take her on their adventures! Harley is crate trained and loves going to doggy daycare. She is housebroken and will usually signal when she needs to go out. She also knows her basic commands. She walks relatively well on a leash, but could use some additional training, as she will pull some. She can get excited when meeting other dogs on a leash, as she loves to play, but generally responds to the "leave it" command. Equipped with a front-clipped harness, Harley's pulling is minimized, but occasional excitement remains when encountering other leashed dogs. Leash training to control her enthusiasm would be beneficial, especially considering her size of 55-60lbs.

Harley's motivation comes from both play and food. High energy levels are managed through activities like daycare, where she enjoys rough-and-tumble play, and daily walks/hikes. She would benefit from either being an only dog or having a canine sibling who also enjoys to play, play, play, as she can be overwhelming for a dog who does not match her energy level.

Harley is in the process of refining her manners, including curbing her jumping when excited. However, she excels in basic commands like come, sit, stay, leave it, drop it, and is learning "fix" for untangling her leash. Her affectionate nature shines through when she automatically sits and makes eye contact before being taken outside. Whether lounging at your feet or cuddling on the couch with pillows and blankets, Harley is an overall sweet, happy-go-lucky, and loving companion who enjoys sharing kisses with her humans!
