Meet Chaco!! Poor guy! We thought we found his forever, but it turns out Chaco can't live with cats, altho he's wonderful with other dogs. If you are a cat-free home, please consider this guy!!
This senior gentleman is the epitome of a gentle giant. He is very kind and gentle and loves to lounge around. At 11 years old, he is a senior boy, but still shows the puppy he once was when he runs around the yard and plays with his foster brother. Unfortunately, Chaco came from a neglectful situation before we were able to save him just hours before being euthanized, and consequently he had lost a considerable amount of weight. He is working hard at getting his weight back to normal (which we think should be right around 90 lbs - he is 86 lbs. currently (up from 73!)). He loves toys and will walk around the house carrying a ball and wagging his massive tail - beware to anything that gets in the path of that happy wag! Chaco is housebroken, walks great on a leash, happily goes in a crate, jumps right up in the car, and is always in a wonderful mood. Chaco is easygoing and loving and simply wants someone to hang out with and love on in his senior years! He also just had a dental cleaning and is ready for his happy-ever-after!
